Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Your Menu
Follow this guide to configure your menus with ease.
1. Adding a Menu

Access the Menu Section in your OrderTiger Dashboard.

Click Add Menu and assign a name (e.g., Main Menu, Lunch Menu, Dinner Menu).

Upload a Photo (optional)

Set the menu as Active if you wish to keep it available on the widget

Position the menu as you like (upper is 1)

Click Save to add your menu to the list.



2. Adding a Category

Select a menu and click Add Category.

Assign a category name like “Beverages” or “Appetizers.”

Upload a Photo (optional)
-
Position each category as you like (upper is 1)

Set the category as Active if you wish to keep it available on the widget

Click Save to add your category to the menu.


3. Adding a Product

Within the category, click Add Product.
-
Add details such as the product name, description, pricing and photo.

In the Option Groups box, if aplied,include your extras (e.g. sauce), customizations (e.g. extra topping), or combinations (e.g. "Make it a Meal").

Position every product as you like (upper is 1)

Click Save to add your product to the category.
4. Using Option Groups
Take your menu customization to the next level with Option Groups. These are ideal for meal deals, combos, or add-ons.

Example: Add an Option Group named “Make it a Meal” to offer fries and a drink along with a burger (product). This Option Group should be linked to the product.
Create Option Groups

Access the Option Grups in your Menu section.

Click Add Option Group

In the Menu box, select the menu where this Option group should be placed (e.g. Main Menu)

Assign a name (as customers will see on the widget. e.g., Make it a Meal, Extra Toppings, Salad, etc.) and a Indentifier name (for you to identify).

Select the Minimun choice and Maximun choice for that Option Group.

Click Add Option to include an item. Each item within the Option Group must be added separately (e.g., add an option for “Fries” and another for “Drink” in the example of Make it a Meal).



5. Using Nested Option Groups
Further enhance customer choices with Nested Option Groups, which are linked to the main Option Group.

Example: Within the “Make it a Meal” Option Group, customers can customize their choices by selecting their preferred fries (e.g., curly fries or wedges) and drinks (e.g., soda or lemonade).
In this case, two Nested Option Group needs to be created. One can be named "Choose your drink" and will offer your drinks (soda, lemonade, etc.), and the other Nested Group can be named "Choose your Fries" and will offer your fries types (curly, wedges, etc.). Both Nested Option Group should be directly linked to the “Make it a Meal” Option Group, giving customers a seamless way to build their meal.
Create Nested Option Groups

Access the Nested Option Grups in your Menu section.

Click Add Option Group

In the Menu box, select the menu where this Option group should be placed (e.g. Main Menu)

Assign a name (as customers will see on the widget. e.g., Choose your drink, Choose your fries, Salad type, etc.) and a Indentifier name (for you to identify).

Select the Minimun choice and Maximun choice for that Nested Option Group.

Click Add Option to include an item. Each item within the Nested Option Group must be added separately (e.g. for “Fries” every type of fries should be listed, Curly, wedges, etc. And for “Drinks” every drink should be listed, Coke, Sprite, Lemonade, etc.).


6. Setting Menu Availability

When editing a menu, click on the Advanced button.

Use the availability settings to define timeframes (e.g., Lunch Menu from 12 PM to 3 PM).

Activate Holidays or Snooze settings to keep customers informed about unavailable time slots.
