Roles that can see Live Orders get the board and bump permissions by default; the override and set-up permissions are for managers and administrators.
The Kitchen role#
Create the login a kitchen device uses under Users (super admin only) with the role ROLE_KDS and the one location it serves; the form refuses a second location, and so does the API. That account holds only the board permissions above: it opens the kitchen screen edge to edge, with no navigation, and cannot reach Stations, Routing Rules or any other page. A TV above the counter gets a ROLE_CDS login the same way, which sees only the customer display. Neither can see orders, menus, customers or settings, so a device left on the pass exposes nothing else.
