Location Groups
Location Groups let you bundle a company's locations together and manage them as one unit. In Company View, the Location Groups dashboard is where you create the groups, check the live status of every location in a group, and apply group-wide changes such as switching services online or offline and updating delivery zones.
What are Location Groups?#
A Location Group is a named collection of locations belonging to the same company. Groups are useful when several locations should behave the same way — for example a regional cluster that needs to be taken offline together, or a set of stores that share the same delivery radius. Work is split between the two views:
- Company View (this page) — create, rename and delete the groups, and act on a whole group at once: see each member location's status and opening times, enable or disable ASAP and pre-order availability per service, and update delivery zones.
- Location View — each location has its own Location Groups page where that location is added to (or removed from) a group. Membership is managed there, per location.
Where to find Location Groups#
- View: Company View
- Menu: Business → Location Groups
The page follows the Company selector at the top of the screen. Choose a company there and the page lists that company's groups. Switching company clears any group you had open.
The group list#
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The group's name. |
| (actions) | Buttons to View the group's dashboard, Edit the group, or Delete it. |
Which buttons you see depends on your access. If a button you need is missing, ask your administrator.
Adding a Location Group#
- Select the company in the Company selector.
- Click ADD LOCATION GROUP in the top-right corner of the page.
- In the "Add Location Group" window, enter the Name (required — if left empty you see "Name is a required value"). The group is created in the currently selected company.
- Click SAVE. On success the message "Location Group has been saved successfully" appears. Click CLOSE to discard instead.
A new group starts empty. To put locations into it, go to Location View for each location and add the location to the group on its Location Groups page.
Editing a Location Group#
- Click the Edit button on the group's row.
- In the "Edit Location Group" window, change the Name.
- Click SAVE.
Deleting a Location Group#
- Click the Delete button on the group's row.
- A confirmation appears: "Are you sure want to delete this Location Group?"
- Click Yes! Delete to confirm, or No to keep it.
Deleting a group removes the grouping only — the locations themselves are not deleted.
The group dashboard#
Click the View (eye) button on a group's row to open its dashboard below the list. The button stays highlighted while the group is open; click it again, or use the Close button above the dashboard, to close it. On small screens the group list is hidden while a dashboard is open — Close brings it back. The dashboard has up to three sections:
1. Service availability applies to every location in the group#
A panel of on/off switches controls whether each service accepts ASAP and pre-order sales:
- Enable ASAP for DELIVERY and Enable Pre-Order for DELIVERY
- Enable ASAP for COLLECTION and Enable Pre-Order for COLLECTION
- Enable ASAP for CURB-SIDE and Enable Pre-Order for CURB-SIDE
- Enable ASAP for CATERING and Enable Pre-Order for CATERING
Set the switches, then click SAVE. The location table below refreshes so you can see the effect.
2. Update Delivery Zones radius-based companies only#
The "Update Delivery Zones" panel appears only when the company's delivery zones are radius-based (measured in miles or kilometres). It lets you push one delivery radius to the whole group:
Field Required Description
Radius Yes The delivery radius, shown in Miles or Kilometers depending on the company's setting. If left empty you see "Radius is a required value".
Field Required Description
Is No Switch controlling whether the zone is active. Active?
Click Save to apply, or Cancel to clear the form. On success you see "Updated Successfully"; if it fails you see "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.".
3. Locations in the group#
A table lists every location in the group, with paging (10, 20 or 30 rows per page):
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Branch Name | The location's name. |
| Status | The location's current state: Open, Closed, Offline or Pre-Ordering. |
| Is Active? | A read-only tick showing whether the location is active. |
| Delivery / Pickup / Catering / Curb-Side | One column per service, each showing Active, Inactive (the service exists but is switched off) or Not added (the location does not offer it). |
Expand a location's row to see its opening times, arranged per service (Delivery, Pickup, Catering, Curb-side) with each day's time slots, for example 09:00 - 17:00. A day without slots shows Closed, and a service that is switched off carries an Inactive badge.
Common tasks#
Take a group of locations offline for a service#
- Open the group with the View button.
- In the service availability panel, switch off the relevant options — for example Enable ASAP for DELIVERY and Enable Pre-Order for DELIVERY.
- Click SAVE and check the location table for the updated status.
Give all locations in a group the same delivery radius#
- Open the group with the View button.
- In "Update Delivery Zones", enter the Radius and set Is Active? as needed.
- Click Save and wait for "Updated Successfully".
Set up a new regional group#
- Create the group here with ADD LOCATION GROUP.
- In Location View, open each location's Location Groups page and add the location to the new group.
- Return to this dashboard to manage them together.
Troubleshooting#
The page shows no groups.
Check the Company selector at the top of the screen — groups belong to a company, and none may exist yet for the selected one.
The group's location table is empty.
The group has no members yet. Locations join a group from Location View, on each location's Location Groups page.
The "Update Delivery Zones" panel is missing.
It only appears for companies whose delivery zones are radius-based (miles or kilometres). Companies using other delivery zone types manage zones per location instead.
The group list disappeared.
On smaller screens the list hides while a group's dashboard is open. Click Close to return to the list.
A delivery zone update failed.
You see "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." — try again, and contact support if it keeps failing.
You do not see the add, edit or delete buttons.
These actions depend on your access. Ask your administrator.
