Location Groups
Location Groups let your company organise its locations into named groups so that several locations can be monitored and managed together. This page is a Location View feature: it shows which groups the location you are currently working on belongs to, and lets you add it to or remove it from a group.
What are Location Groups?#
A location group is a named collection of locations (branches) that belongs to your company. Groups are created and maintained at company level; typical uses include viewing the status of all locations in a group on a single dashboard, applying actions to many locations at once, and updating settings such as delivery zones for a whole group. On this page you do not create or rename the groups themselves — you simply manage the membership of the current location. Adding a group here means "this location joins that group"; deleting an entry means "this location leaves that group". The group itself, and any other locations in it, are not affected.
Where to find Location Groups#
- View: Location View
- Menu: Store → Location Groups
The group list#
The page shows a table of every group the current location belongs to:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the location group |
| (action column) | A delete button, shown only if your account has permission to remove the location from groups |
Common tasks#
Add this location to a group#
- Click the ADD GROUP button at the top of the page. The Add Group window opens.
- In the Group dropdown, pick one of your company's existing location groups. The field is searchable and is required — leaving it empty shows the message "Please select a group".
- Confirm the window. On success you will see "Group saved successfully" and the group appears in the list.
Remove this location from a group#
- Find the group in the table and click the red delete button in its row.
- A confirmation appears: "Are you sure want to delete this group?" — choose Yes! Delete to confirm or No to cancel.
This only removes the current location from the group; the group continues to exist for the rest of the company.
