🏢 Company View
Locations
The Locations page lists every store (location) belonging to a company and lets you add, edit, manage or delete them. It is a Company View feature — it works company-wide and requires super-admin access.
What is a location?#
A location is a single store or branch of a company — the physical place that receives and prepares orders. Every location belongs to exactly one company and carries its own address, contact details, time zone, ordering emails and settings. A company can have as many locations as its Max Location limit allows.
Where to find Locations#
- View: Company View (super-admin access)
- Menu: Business → Locations
The list only loads once a company is chosen in the Company selector at the top of the screen. Above the list there is also an All Locations drop-down: leave it empty to see every location of the selected company, or pick one location to narrow the list down.
The locations list#
Locations are shown ten per page by default; the page-size selector below the table offers 10, 20 or 30 per page.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| (Logo) | The location's logo image, if one has been uploaded. |
| Store Name | The location's name. |
| Company | The company the location belongs to. |
| Phone | The location's phone number. |
| Address | Address lines and postcode combined. |
| Time Zone | The location's time zone. |
| Active | A tick when the location is active. |
| (Actions) | Edit, Manage and Delete buttons (see below). |
Row actions#
- Edit (pencil) — opens the Edit Location window.
- Manage (person icon) — switches you out of Company View and into that location's own management view, with the company and location already selected, so you can work on its menus, orders and settings directly.
- Delete (bin) — removes the location after confirmation. This action is limited to certain administrator roles.
Adding a location#
- Open Business → Locations and click Add Location (top right).
- The Add Location window opens. Pick the Company the location belongs to, then fill in the required fields (see the field reference below).
- Enter the address, then click Update Coordinates to look up the Latitude and Longitude automatically from the address.
- Click SAVE. On success the message "Location saved successfully" appears.
- Click CLOSE to return to the list.
Editing a location#
- Click the Edit (pencil) button in the location's row.
- The Edit Location window opens. When editing, the read-only Company Id and Store Id are displayed, and the Company field is locked — a location cannot be moved to another company.
- Make your changes and click SAVE. The confirmation "Location saved successfully" appears; click CLOSE when done.
Deleting a location#
- Click the red Delete (bin) button in the location's row.
- A confirmation appears: "Are you sure you want to delete this location?"
- Click Yes! Delete to confirm, or No to cancel.
Field reference#
Logo#
An image upload box for the location's logo (one image), shown in the list and on the location's ordering channels.
Company (required, cannot be changed later)#
The company this location belongs to. If empty: "Company is a required value". Locked once the location has been created.
Store Name (required)#
The location's name as customers see it. If empty: "Store Name is a required value".
Phone (required)#
The location's contact phone number. If empty: "Phone is a required value".
Address Line 1 , Address Line 2 (Optional), City , County/State (Optional), Postcode (required)(required)#
, Country (required)(required)#
The location's street address. Missing required parts show messages such as "Address Line 1 is a required value", "City is a required value", "Postcode is a required value" and "Country is a required value".
Latitude / Longitude (required)#
The location's map coordinates, used for delivery zones and distance calculations. Click Update Coordinates to fill them in automatically from the address. Note that changing any address field clears the coordinates, so run Update Coordinates again after an address change. If empty: "Latitude is a required value" / "Longitude is a required value".
Time Zone (required)#
The location's local time zone — it controls opening hours and order timestamps. If empty: "Time Zone is a required value".
URL Path (required)#
The short path that identifies this location on the company's ordering website. If empty: "URL path is a required value".
Order Confirmation Setting (required)#
How incoming orders are confirmed. Options: Order Confirmation (staff confirm each order) or AutoConfirmed (orders confirm automatically). If empty: "Order Confirmation Setting is a required value".
Score (required)#
A number used to rank this location. If empty: "Score is a required value".
Online Order Email (required, valid email)#
The address that online orders are tied to. Validation messages: "Order Email is a required value" and "Please enter a valid email address".
Email From (required, valid email)#
The sender address used on emails sent to customers for this location. Validation messages: "Email From is a required value" and "Please enter a valid email address".
Receive Orders by Email#
A switch. When on, three extra fields appear: Email address 1 for receiving orders (Optional), Email address 2 for receiving orders (Optional) and Email address 3 for receiving orders (Optional). Despite its label, the first address must be filled in while the switch is on ("Email1 is a required value"); the second and third are genuinely optional. Each must be a valid email address.
Outsourced Delivery#
A switch. Turn it on when deliveries for this location are handled by an external delivery provider.
Enable Reviews#
A switch. When on, customers can leave reviews for this location.
Enable Driver to Store Notifications#
A switch. When on, delivery drivers can send status notifications to the store.
Track Multiple Order Statuses#
A switch. When on, orders for this location move through multiple tracked statuses instead of a single confirmation step.
Active#
A switch, on by default for new locations. Turn it off to take the location offline without deleting it.
Common tasks#
Opening a new store for an existing company#
Select the company in the Company selector, click Add Location, fill in the details, use Update Coordinates, and click SAVE. If saving fails because the company already has its maximum number of locations, the company's Max Location limit (set on the Companies page) may need raising first.
Jumping into a location's day-to-day admin#
Click Manage in the location's row. You are taken straight to that location's own management view to work on its menus, orders and settings. Use the view switcher to return to Company View afterwards.
Fixing a store that shows in the wrong place on the map#
Edit the location, check the address fields, click Update Coordinates and confirm the Latitude and Longitude changed, then click SAVE.
Troubleshooting#
The list is empty.
Make sure a company is chosen in the Company selector at the top of the screen, and that the All Locations filter is not narrowing the list to a single location.
Update Coordinates leaves Latitude and Longitude blank.
The address could not be found. Check the spelling of the address lines, city, postcode and country, then try again — or type the coordinates in manually.
I cannot change the Company on an existing location.
That is expected — a location is fixed to its company once created.
There is no Delete button in my action column.
Deleting locations is limited to certain administrator roles — ask your administrator.
- Saving fails with a red message. Check every required field; each missing one shows its own message, for example "Time Zone is a required value". If Receive Orders by Email is on, the first receiving email address must also be filled in.
