🏪 Location View

Analytics

The Analytics area shows how your business is performing: sales and order totals, product performance, and customer behaviour. All figures are scoped to the location you are currently working in (Location View), and every report can be narrowed to a date range of your choice.

What is Analytics?#

Analytics is a group of three report pages, each answering a different question:

  • Overview — how much did we sell, and through which channels? Sales and order totals, fees, tips, refunds, averages, and a sales-over-time chart.
  • Product Analytics — what did we sell? Revenue, quantity sold, and order counts per product, with charts and a detailed product table you can export.
  • Customer Analytics — who is buying from us? New versus returning customers, customer segments, engagement, referrals, loyalty programs, and a sortable customer list.

Where to find Analytics#

Analytics lives in the location-level admin area. If you are in Company View, switch to Location View first using the view switcher in the header — the reports always show data for the selected location. In the left-hand menu, open the Analytics section and choose a page:

  • AnalyticsOverview
  • AnalyticsProduct Analytics
  • AnalyticsCustomer Analytics

Access to each page depends on your user permissions — if a page is missing, ask your administrator. The Analytics section only appears when the Analytics feature is included in your subscription plan. If it is not part of your plan, the menu entry is hidden entirely — contact your account manager to have it enabled.

Overview#

The Overview page (browser title "Analytics") summarises sales and orders for the selected location and period. When a location is selected, its name is shown above the filters.

Filters#

A filter bar sits at the top of the page. Changing any filter refreshes the report automatically — there is no separate search button.

  • Date range — preset buttons TODAY, WEEK, MONTH, YEAR, plus arrows to step to the previous or next period. Click the displayed dates ("Select date range") to pick a custom range. The default is the current week.
  • Order Type — one or more of Delivery, Pickup, Catering, Curb-side, Eat-in.
  • Payment Type — one or more of Cash, Card, Card Terminal.
  • Status — filter by order status (e.g. Accepted, Completed, Rejected, Cancelled).
  • Tracking ID — narrow the report to orders carrying a specific tracking ID.

Sales and order cards#

  • Total Sales — total sales value for the period, with a pie chart splitting it by ordering platform: iOS, Android, and Web.
  • Subtotal Sales — the same breakdown based on order subtotals (before fees and extras).
  • Order Count — the number of orders, again split by iOS, Android, and Web, with counts and percentages per platform.
  • Total — a summary list of Delivery Fees, Tips, Driver Tips, and Total Refunds. Some administrator roles also see Service Fees here.
  • Average — per-order averages: Total, Sub Total, Delivery Fee, plus New Customers and New Customers with Conversions for the period.
  • Count Cancelled and Count Rejected — how many orders were cancelled or rejected in the period.

Sales over time (chart)#

Below the cards, a chart plots sales across the selected period as bars for All, iOS, Android, and Web, with accumulated running-total lines (labelled "Acc.") for each. If nothing matches your filters, the chart shows "No Data Available".

Exporting#

Click the Export button at the top right of the page to download the currently filtered order data as a CSV file (named analytics-order-report.csv), ready to open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Product Analytics#

The Product Analytics page shows which products earn the most and sell the most for the selected location.

Filters#

  • Date range — same TODAY / WEEK / MONTH / YEAR selector as the Overview page. The default is the last 30 days.
  • All Menus — limit the report to a single menu, or leave it on all menus.
  • Sort ByRevenue (Highest First), Quantity Sold (Highest First), Order Count (Highest First), or Product Name (A-Z).
  • Limit Results — show the top 10, 25, 50 (default), 100, or All products.
  • Generate Report — runs the report. Changing a filter also refreshes it automatically.

Summary and highlights#

Above the charts, summary cards show Total Products, Total Revenue, Total Qty Sold, Avg Rev/Product, Avg Qty/Product, and Avg Orders/Product. Highlight cards call out your top performers — for example Top Product (by Revenue) or Top Product (by Quantity), depending on the sort order you chose, alongside the Top Revenue Product.

Charts#

  • A bar chart of your leading products — titled Top Products by Revenue, Top Products by Quantity, Top Products by Orders, or Products (A-Z) to match your sort choice.
  • Revenue by Category — a pie chart splitting revenue across menu categories.

Product Details (table)#

The Product Details table lists every product in the report with these columns:

ColumnMeaning
Product NameThe product, ranked by your chosen sort order
CategoryThe menu category it belongs to
Qty SoldUnits sold in the period
RevenueTotal revenue from the product
OrdersNumber of orders containing the product
Avg RevenueAverage revenue per order for the product
ContributionThe product's share of total revenue

Use the "Search products..." box above the table to filter it by product or category name, and the Export CSV or Export Excel buttons to download the full report. If nothing matches your filters, the page shows "No product data found for the selected period" — "Try adjusting your date range or filters".

Customer Analytics#

The Customer Analytics page profiles your customer base for the selected location. Pick a date range (the default is the last 30 days) and click Generate Report.

Summary#

Six cards summarise the customer base: Total Customers, New Customers, Returning Customers, Avg Order Value, Avg Days as Customer, and Avg Cart Abandonments.

Customer Segments#

The Customer Segments table groups customers by how often they order and shows, per segment: Customers, Avg Order Value, Total Revenue, and Avg Days as Customer. The segments are:

  • New — 1 order
  • Occasional — 2-3 orders
  • Regular — 4-9 orders
  • Loyal — 10+ orders

Engagement, referrals, and loyalty#

  • Engagement MetricsEmail Opt-in Rate, SMS Opt-in Rate, Avg Email Open Rate, Avg SMS Response Rate, Promotions Redeemed.
  • Referral MetricsActive Referrers, Total Referrals, Successful Referrals, and Conversion Rate.
  • Loyalty Programs — per program: customers Enrolled, Points Earned and Points Redeemed (points programs) or Stamps Earned and Stamps Redeemed (stamp programs), with a breakdown of customers per Tier.

Customer List#

The Customer List table shows individual customers with columns Name, Segment, Orders, Total Spent, Avg Order Value, Last Order, and Days Since Last Order. Above the table you can:

  • Sort by Total Spent, Total Orders, Last Order Date, or Segment, in Descending or Ascending order.
  • Filter to a single segment, or keep All Segments.

Click any row to open the Customer Profile window with that customer's details: contact and opt-in information, order totals, loyalty balances, and referral activity.

Common tasks#

Compare this week with last week#

  1. Open AnalyticsOverview. The report defaults to the current week (WEEK preset).
  2. Note the Total Sales and Order Count figures.
  3. Click the left arrow next to the date range to step back one week, and compare the same figures.

Find your best-selling products this month#

  1. Open AnalyticsProduct Analytics and choose the MONTH date preset.
  2. Set Sort By to Quantity Sold (Highest First) and click Generate Report.
  3. The highlight card Top Product (by Quantity) and the top rows of the Product Details table show your best sellers.

Export orders for your accountant#

  1. On the Overview page, set the date range and any Order Type, Payment Type, or Status filters you need.
  2. Click Export at the top right — a CSV file downloads with the filtered order data.

Identify lapsed loyal customers#

  1. Open AnalyticsCustomer Analytics and generate the report.
  2. In the Customer List, filter the segment to Loyal (10+ orders) and sort by Last Order Date, Ascending.
  3. Customers with a high Days Since Last Order value are good candidates for a win-back promotion.

Troubleshooting#

The Analytics menu is missing

The Analytics feature is not included in your subscription plan, or your account doesn't have permission for this. Ask your administrator or account manager.

I can see Overview but not Product or Customer Analytics

The three pages have separate permissions, and your role may only include some of them. An administrator can grant the missing ones.

  • The chart says "No Data Available" / "No product data found for the selected period" — no orders match your current filters. Widen the date range or clear the Order Type, Payment Type, Status, or Tracking ID filters.
  • The numbers look wrong or too low — check which location you are viewing (the location name is shown above the filters on the Overview page) and confirm the date range. Reports only cover the currently selected location.
  • My custom date range is rejected — a date range must be at least 1 hour and must not exceed 2 years.
  • I can't see the Service Fees row — the Service Fees line in the Total card is only visible to certain administrator roles.
