Setting Up the Till
The OrderTiger EPOS app turns a Sunmi terminal or Android tablet into a till. It takes orders over the counter, takes payment, prints receipts and opens the cash drawer — and on the same screen it can receive the online orders your website and apps send in.
The two halves of the app#
A terminal runs one or both halves, chosen on the till itself under Store Config → App Sections:

Orders, Table Bookings, Sales Report, Transaction, Stock and Settings are always available, whichever sections are on. At least one section must stay enabled, and changing one restarts the app — the app asks first, and refuses while an order is in progress.
What to set up first#
- Sign in with the account issued for the branch.
- Open Settings and add the receipt printer — the built-in printer on a Sunmi terminal, or a network printer for the kitchen.
- Set the number of receipt copies, the receipt font sizes and, where the company works in more than one language, the item receipt languages.
- Open Store Config and check the services the branch is taking orders for.
- Choose the app sections this terminal runs.
Permissions the app asks for#
- Bluetooth — to find and connect a Bluetooth receipt printer.
- Location — only for Sunmi printers connected over Bluetooth, because the Sunmi printer SDK uses Android's older Bluetooth rules. Your location is never collected or shared. Declining it means connecting that printer over the network instead.
- Google Play Services — needed for the driver tracking map; the app warns if it is missing.
Troubleshooting#
At least one section must stay enabled
You have tried to switch off the only section this terminal runs. Enable the other one first.
Finish or clear the current order before changing this
App sections cannot change mid-order, because the change restarts the app. Complete or clear the basket.
The Checkout tab is missing
The EPOS section is off for this terminal. Turn it on under Store Config and let the app restart.
Table Bookings is missing
Table reservations are not set up for this branch. The tab appears once the branch's booking settings exist.
