📱 Order Manager App

Accepting an Order

Accepting an order tells the customer their order is confirmed and gives them a time. What the accept screen asks for depends on the order type and on how the branch is configured, but the decision is always the store's: no order is ever accepted without somebody tapping Accept.

Accepting from the order#

  1. Open the order from the New tab, or tap LET ME SEE on the new-order pop-up.
  2. Check the items, the order type and the requested time.
  3. Tap ACCEPT.
  4. Choose a time on the dialog that opens, then confirm. The order moves to In Progress and the receipt prints.

What the accept dialog asks for#

Order typeThe questionWhat you choose
DeliveryWhen will the order arrive at the customer? (preparation + delivery time)The total time until the customer has the order.
Pick up / curb-sideWhen will the order be ready by?The time the order will be ready to collect.
Delivery by a third-party courierHow many minutes do you need to PREPARE the order?Kitchen preparation time only — the courier owns the delivery leg.
Pre-orderRequested time and date for order to be ready byConfirm the requested slot with CONFIRM & ACCEPT.

Times are offered as preset buttons — 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 minutes on the preparation-time dialog, a wider range elsewhere — with OTHER for a value that is not listed. ASAP shows the earliest time the order can be ready.

Minimum preparation times#

A branch can be given a minimum preparation time per service. Where that is configured, the minimum is preselected when the dialog opens, presets below it are greyed out, and a value typed under OTHER is refused with an explanation: The preparation time selected cannot be less than N minutes. This is to ensure the delivery drivers have the necessary time to pick up your order.

Auto-confirmed branches#

Some branches run in auto-confirm mode, where orders are accepted by the platform and reach the app already marked AUTO CONFIRMED. There is nothing to accept on those orders; they arrive, print and appear in In Progress.

Troubleshooting#

The prep-time presets are greyed out

A branch minimum is in force. Choose the minimum or a longer time.

The dialog shows a fixed time instead of preset buttons

Time adjustment is switched off for this branch, so the order's own time is used. Confirm to accept it.

Please select order time

No time was chosen. Pick a preset or enter one under OTHER before tapping Accept.

The order will not accept and the app reports a connection problem

The acceptance never reached the server. Check the connection and try again; do not start cooking until the order shows as accepted.
