📱 Order Manager App
Staying Connected
The Order Manager app receives orders over a live connection, so the one thing a branch cannot trade without is a working network on the terminal. This chapter covers what the app does when the connection drops, what you should do, and how to make sure no order is missed.
What the app needs#
- A reliable internet connection — the app says so itself: To receive new orders in real-time, this app requires a reliable internet connection.
- The screen awake and the app in the foreground, so the live connection is not suspended.
- Sound turned up, and notification policy access granted so Do Not Disturb cannot silence the new-order alert.
- The charger connected, so the terminal does not sleep or die mid-service.
When the connection drops#
The app tells you rather than failing quietly. Connection issue detected means the live order feed has been interrupted; No Internet Connection and Network disconnected. Please check your connection. mean the device itself is offline.
- Check the device's Wi-Fi or mobile data in its own Settings app.
- While the terminal is offline, watch for new orders in the Admin Dashboard under Live Orders — orders keep arriving there.
- When the connection is back, restart the app so it reloads the current orders.
- Check the New and In Progress tabs against the dashboard before assuming the app has caught up.
- If the problem persists, restart the device, then contact support.
Alerts and sounds#
- A new order plays the order alert and shows the NEW ORDERS pop-up.
- A new table reservation plays its own alert three times, where table bookings are enabled for the branch.
- Orders arriving outside opening hours can be added silently — see the closed-store setting on the Go Online / Offline screen.
Troubleshooting#
Please restart the app and check the online dashboard for any missing orders
The app could not restore its live connection. Restart it, reconcile against the dashboard, and contact support if it recurs.
Orders arrive late, in a batch
The connection was interrupted and the app caught up when it recovered. Check the network and whether the device was asleep.
Not connected to internet
An action was attempted while offline; it was not sent. Reconnect and repeat it.
The terminal works but a second device does not
The problem is that device's network or session, not the branch. Sign that device out and back in once it is online.
